Social Welfare Schemes

I.C.D.S.

There are 13 ICDS Projects in the district (12 Rural and 1 Urban). There is vacancy of 44 posts of Supervisor, 10 vacancies of Statistical Asst., 21 vacancies of Anganwadi Workers in different projects. Following six packages of services are being executed by ICDS Projects.

(i) Supplementary Nutrition

(ii) Immunisation

(iii) Health Check-up

(iv) Refferal Services

(v) Nutrition and Health Eduction

(vi) Pre-School Education

There are 44,087 no. Pre-School children, 3787 no. of Pregnant and 3585 Lactating mothers. Regular health check up of children between 0-6 years is being made. At present there are 1,06,877 no. of Grade-I , 12,865 Grade-II, 1006 Grade-III and 88 Grade-IV Mal-Nutrition cases.

MID-DAY-MEAL PROGRAMME:

Mid-Day-Meal Programme is running in 1712 schools of all the 12 Blocks of the district with 1,59,732 beneficiaries. The following quantity of rice have been allotted and distributed during 2007-08.
